Its funny, I can’t exactly describe it but dogs and their owners often go together in an uncanny way that makes them perfect for one another but still unique compared to the next pair of dog and owner. Its cute. People look like their dogs, or their dogs look like them, or they complement each other, at least.

My Dini is a distinctive pup. He’s got pomp and style. He’s an alpha. He’s compact but sturdy. He is small but mighty. He is soft and cute but has the bark of a doberman. All are ways I could also describe myself. I’ve got style, Im cute, Im distinctive. I’ve got a bark bigger than people like sometimes. I’m definitely sturdy. And yes, I’ve even been called an “alpha.” Dini and I go together. He is my best friend and we complement one another. No, I don’t look like a dapple wiener dog, but we go together nonetheless.

Understanding how dogs and their owners are alike is helpful when it comes to catering to my clients. But there are a few things I’ve learned about dogs since I began.

When your dog is with me:

  1. They dont cry when you leave like you think they do, but I tell you they miss you to make you feel better

  10. The word “outside” is a dirty word around here
  11. The word “treat” is worse
  12. They will pee at least once in my house but I will lie and said they didn’t have any accidents so you don’t feel bad about it
  13. They need to scratch

  53. They get life with me as close to life at their own home, if not better
  54. They get more love than you probably want
  55. I rub and cuddle them even if they don’t like it

How do I know this about your dog?

Because even though dogs look different and even though they are as unique as their owners .. dogs are all the same. That also means my love for them is the same. My deep need to surround myself with dogs goes way back. Not even for any particular reason. I just love dogs.

Dogs are therapy. They make me feel whole and complete. Their love is unconditional. They are comfort. They are warmth. They are protection. They are loyalty. They are love.

As my clientele grows and expands, I get to meet dogs of every breed, mix, size, gender, needs, and energy levels. It super fun. They are honestly all unique but predictable. Regardless, I have nothing but love for them. I look forward to meeting more dogs and making them feel comfortable and safe. The reality is that I don’t really do this for them, I do it for me. Its rewarding. I feel better after having spent time with a new pup. I enjoy watching my dogs play with new dogs too. What I really want dog owners to know is that I love your dogs like my own.

With love,

Amanda
